Remember the days of the BIG Kings
Eldest has got into night diving which gives me something extra to worry about. Mind you if he keeps up the supply of these things I may have to re-think my opposition.

Yeah I wouldn't eat anything out of the river, not even my wife if she went for a swim , well not until she had a good shower and flush.

Re: Remember the days of the BIG Kings
Shit... I remember the days when Pop, Gran, Mum, Dad, Uncles Auntys, neighbours and friends, used to all gather down at the beach in Melville/Point Walter, light a fire, boil a pot of water... kids played along the waters edge, blokes took turns walking out with the drag net, Mums sorted the catch, picking out choppers and jellies and throwing them back to the water and tossing prawns into the boiling pot...
after a few drags, a few beers too if I remember right, we all sat down to agood feed of fresh river prawns on the beach there...
One of my very fond childhood memories...

Sorry, I'm a born-again hermit at the moment - got too much happening all at once ... it's a lovely story and a delightful pic, and I hope the night diving works out fine (I believe some things look pretty amazing at night underwater), and, Tam, I also remember swimming with the jelly fish and not caring in the least - catch me doing that now - and sitting around a big fire of marron at Wellington Dam, and prawning in the Leschnault Estuary and crabbing in Mandurah ... too many places have been wrecked, too many memories uncatchable for my own kiddies. It's good to know there are still some hidden gems out in the bush that only the locals can find!!
Back to my hermit cave, and hopefully I'll resurface in August ... hi folks, nice to see you all again.
