Mugs and Seadragons Dad
Today he made it to 90 years old, well by the time you read this he will be 90, I do hope I'm not tempting providence here [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
He couldn't have his birthday bash tomorrow (1st) because he is working in the morning and has a bowls match in the afternoon, so we had it today instead.
Anyway, heres a pic of Dad, David (number one grandson) Jane (number one grandaughter) and his 3 great grand children Amber, William and George.
More pictures may follow.
Dad says thanks for the present Seadragon
what pisses me off, he's got less wrinkles than me [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

To Mugs and Seadragon's Dad
Quite an acheivement to reach 90 and still be so active.
Good on him !

Re: Mugs and Seadragons Dad
Would have been real nice to have been told about the surprise party becuase I WOULD have made the journey even for a few days but as ""the other son"" and seemingly disowned by both sister and brother what am I to expect

Re: Mugs and Seadragons Dad
wasn't a surprise party, dad invited the guests [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
ok, it might of started out as a surprise months ago, but arranging it round his work and sport schedule made it impossible.
at the end of his speech Dad invited everyone to meet at the same place in 10 years time. I wouldn't bet money on it not happening either, though in fairness, I doubt I'll be there [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
anyway, consider yourself invited to that one [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Mugs and Seadragons Dad
this is what our sister wrote and recited Seadragon
I've known my dad a long time
and now everywhere we go
he makes a point of saying
I'll be 90 soon you know
He met our mum and married her
he'd landed on his feet
she was the loveliest lady
anyone could ever meet
the 3 of us then came along
to drive him round the bend
with toys and bikes and later cars
for him to fix and mend
he taught me how to ride a bike
and taught me how to swim
and how to play a game of chess
although I never win
and later when I was older
I trained with him each day
following on my push bike
as he race walked down the lane
in the early days he'd moan and shout
but we all knew where we stood
and malcolm always got the blame
he's the oldest so he should
he let us keep the pets we liked
well mum did I should say
pigeons rabbits dogs and fish
and a ferret along the way
the 3 of us learned good from bad
which friends to have, and not
a childhood to remember
we thanked them both a lot
he hasn't watched his life go by
he's a sportsman through and through
cycling walking chess and bowls
his talents to name a few
his funny ways his points of view
have taxed us I'm sure
and how his nose is still so straight
astounds me to the core
but as I look around me now
with his friends and family
I realise without a doubt
he's the best dad there could be
