The Ashes
Cannot believe that there's not a post dedicated to this yet, but god am I tired!!! Stayed up the first night (it starts at midnight our time!) for a couple of hours and loved it. I was shooting the following day so thought I'd better get some sleep!
Great start by Australia, especially to get Strauss out 3rd ball. That won't do anything for his confidence will it?
Siddle was a demon with the ball, even if some of it was pony, but bad balls get wickets. However, he was on top form for his hat-trick.
So, go to bed last night with Broad and Anderson having the upper hand and bowling really, really well. How surprised/delighted was I to wake up this morning to see Hussey and Haddin had batted outstandingly well, put together a good partnership and gained a good lead for England to chase.
Be interesting to see how the pitch behaves with all those cracks, but have a feeling that this is definitely going Australia's way.
C'MON THE AUSSIES!!!

You're right Mugs, that seems to be the usual abuse I get from Mrs Greg so should be used to it by now.

Dropping Johnson would help. I think North is gone too. You have to build pressure for bowlers to be successful... line and length, blah, blah....wasn't a result wicket it would seem anyway. But the POM's need only draw each test to keep the Ashes.
We can only hope Aussies amongst us

Gotta agree with you Mugs on the Johnson/Mercury similarity, spooky.
However, how does a tattooed, mustashioed bloke like that get such a hottie for a girlfriend. Wasted I tell ya!!!

I do too answer but NOT when it says "overseas" on the little dially thing coz that means it's either some bloody Indian wanting me to change "fon curriers" or it's a bloody Pom whining about the f$%#$% cold.
You tell me your phone number Chooky and I'll ring just to prove the little frozen pork pie muncher wrong...
