Still Alive...
Thought I should post up and say HI ... it has been tooo long between posts and visits...
I am still alive, just, and kicking... but far out busy...
Early December saw our eldest daughter move out of home and set up house with the boyfriend... awww young love...
Christmas came and went, as it does every year, then the stream of visitors for the school holidays... they came and went too...
In between Chrissy and visitors I had study and assignments due in for uni... that was a balancing act and a half with everything that was happening and I very nearly fell off the tightrope there, just scraping through this unit with a bare minimum pass... very disappointing after the Distinctions and High Distictions I have been getting previously :/
Mid January, had to run daughter #two down to Perth and enrol her in her chosen TAFE course (Graphic Design) then rush home to pack her up and move her down there, so now we have two children who have left the nest!!
We have somewhere in between set up a few new projects around the place, I will make a separate post on our Aquaponics later.
Russ, in between work has been out for a few fishing/diving adventures and kept our freezer full of baldy fillets and crays, which always makes me happy
Sorry I missed your Birthday the other day Mugs... hope you had a good day despite the lack of greetings from here [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Still working on that life/work/study balance and hoping with a few adjustments, I might find it this year. Promise though, I will try and keep up on here a little more

Re: Still Alive...
Someone mention Chooks....
I was just commenting how pathetic chook fanciers are when discussing their feather-brained, thick headed pets

Which reminds me of a fine bit of chicken philisophy that the feathered one may appreciate if he hasn't seen it all before.(which I suspect he has)
Why DID the chicken cross the road

Why DID the chicken cross the road
Interpretations from experts both modern and ancient
Aristotle | To actualize its potential.
Julius Caesar | To come, to see, to conquer.
Bob Dylan | How many roads must one chicken cross?
Dr. Seuss | Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes! The chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed, I've not been told!
Bill Gates | I have just released Chicken XP, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your check book — and Explorer is an inextricable part of the operating system.
Grandpa | In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us that the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.
Richard M. Nixon | The chicken did not cross the road. I repeat, the chicken did not cross the road. I don't know any chickens. I have never known any chickens.
Karl Marx | It was a historical inevitability.
Albert Einstein | Whether the chicken crossed the road or the road crossed the chicken depends upon your frame of reference.
Mark Twain | The news of its crossing has been greatly exaggerated.
Captain James T. Kirk | To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.
Mr. Scott | 'Cos ma wee transporter beam was na functioning properly. Ah canna work miracles, Captain!
Martin Luther King | I dreamt of a world where all chickens were free to cross roads without having their motives called into question.
Groucho Marx | Chicken? What's all this talk about chicken? Why, I had an uncle who thought he was a chicken. My aunt almost divorced him, but we needed the eggs.
Sir Isaac Newton | Chickens at rest tend to stay at rest. Chickens in motion tend to cross the road.
William Shakespeare | I don't know why, but methinks without much ado.
Mr. T | If you saw me coming you'd cross the road too!
Henny Youngman | Take this chicken... please.
Every Beaurocrat that ever lived | Deregulation of the chicken's side of the road was threatening its dominant market position. The chicken was faced with significant challenges to create and develop the competencies required for the newly competitive market. We have, in a partnering relationship with the client, helped the chicken by rethinking its physical |
