Old Goats and their nets

Can you believe that amateur netting is still allowed in the Peel? 
The supporters will suggest that their netting time is limited to one day a week with other restrictions in place but who can possibly believe that this crap, in any shape or form, should ever be allowed in the Peel.
Have a read of the letter to the Mandurah Mail that was published a few weeks ago:
My special thanks for the enthusiastic support from Dawesville MLA Kim Hames and I would personally like to thank all those netters for their phone calls of support and encouragement in my endeavour to resolve this issue.
Until we are told otherwise the current netting conditions apply.
Of course those people who don’t go net fishing don’t know what fun they are missing out on.
It is a family-oriented, healthy, social and recreational activity often combined with a party atmosphere on summer evenings.
